Medical Volunteering for Refugees

Hi Friends...
For a hot minute, we thought we might actually take a vacation in 2016... doesn't look like that's going to work out. Instead, we're kicking off the New Year by packing hundreds of pounds of gear and heading to the Greek island of Lesbos, a main through-point for refugees crossing from Turkish shores.
In the off chance you haven't seen the news in... well... years, there is little problem in the Middle East. Hundreds of thousands of human beings are fleeing war torn countries, so desperate for safety that they are risking passage on dangerous seas, months in rough camps or living in the woods, bitterly cold nights, and what must feel like endless hunger. These refugees are human beings who are leaving behind their homes, all of their possessions except the clothes on their backs, everything they have known. Politics have no bearing on the composition of the camps on Lesbos, they are full far past capacity. The residents of these camps are human beings, they are families - infants, children, the elderly, pregnant women.
These refugees are cold, scared, hungry, sick, and hurt. They are human beings. They need help. It's that simple.
So, we're going to help. You should think about it too. If you're not up for long, cold, wet, muddy days and nights in a refugee camp, that's fine. Just donate instead!
We will be departing on January 2nd and every donated cent will be used to cover the costs of this medical mission - including as many supplies as we can afford to bring. Lesbos is tough (read: expensive) to reach and we're hoping to secure safe lodging for eight medical providers/nurses.
Friends, thanks for considering supporting us, we're extraordinarily lucky to have people like you in our lives! May 2016 bring joy and peace to you - and to those on earth who need it most of all.
Love, the Frenzens
