My mother story starts back in May 28, 2014 when the news came she had breast cancer. She went through her surgeries of having a double mastectomy. She went through her chemo and survived, now has been in remission for 3 years. December 2015 came and she was having her finally surgery for her breast. As she was being moved from to her bed after surgery she was dropped. Some would be mad about if but we see it as a blessing. We see it as a blessing because if they wouldn't have dropped her we would not have found out she had brain cancer. So on December 24, 2015 was more bad news and my mother had to undergo another surgery. She was in remission until Sept. 2016 where she had another round of radiation. Then we on to being back in remission. November 1, 2017 I get a call from her telling me her brain cancer was back, just not in the same spot of the brain. Since finding out she has been going to her appointments to see how to remove it and what is to follow. The day before Thanksgiving we found out her insurance company denied her surgery. She had to do an appeal but then that appeal had got denied. Now after 2 weeks of waiting to have my mom's brain surgery approved to remove her cancerous tumor, Aetna my mom's insurance finally decided to approve the surgery. They only way they approved it was for the doctor to cut more into her head instead of doing it laser like he wanted. When he was going to do it laser she would have only been out for 1 week, but with the other way she will be out for 4-6 weeks without pay from work. During that time she will still be responsible for paying her insurance premium to be able to do her follow ups, and her other bills out of pocket. We are asking anyone for their help to keep her on her feet and stress free during her recovery, we will truely and honestly appreciate it. Thank anyone in advance. Especially being the holiday season.
