Reimagining Politics

MY STORY
In 2016, I began traveling the world at my own expense to research new kinds of civic and political innovation armed only with a belief in humanity’s ability to solve our own problems.  Across Europe, the US and Latin America, I have consistently encountered brilliantly resourceful civic innovators whose projects are changing the way politics is done.

My mission with Reimagining Politics  is to create transformative educational experiences that teach, empower and connect engaged citizens across borders with the world's most effective civic innovators.

These civic innovators are creating powerful and scalable new Creative Commons projects such as sophisticated data mapping of hidden social economies, national networks of community exchanges designed to preserve heritage seed stocks, local "Quiero mi Barrio" (I Love My Neighborhood) initiatives in South America, Civic Dinners modeled on Thomas Jefferson's community dinners at Monticello, entrepreneurial social hacking, urban acupuncture being practiced by architects and artists who have joined forces and much, much more.

These civic and social innovators know that we can make real and lasting change, but we have to be ready to do the work of Reimagining Politics, and that includes reimagining our role as engaged citizens. That is what this project is about.

New 2-Year Plan
I have an ambitious two year plan for Reimagining Politics that includes two new books and two Civic Innovation Tours in 2019. I have literary representation in both the US and Latin America, and planning is already underway for my 2020 election year project, Meet Me at the Station.

Civic Innovation Tours

Launching in 2019 after months of planning, I will begin offering joyful new Civic Innovation Tours  that are available only from Reimagining Politics.  New electronic brochures and videos about these spectacular and engaging tours will be available soon. We are working with leading civic innovators worldwide to make these tours transformative life experiences for everyone involved.

Please sign up for our newsletter today to be among the first people notified when our Civic Innovation Tours launch.

Why Donate?
I need another $10,000 to finish planning, publicity and video production for our first two Civic Innovation Tours in México and Chile. I cannot continue to self-fund. Publicity and tour booking will begin in the first quarter of 2019. The first two Tours are scheduled to begin in mid-2019.

Thank you for visiting and supporting my GoFundMe campaign! Together, I know we can do the work of Reimagining Politics to create real and lasting change.
