Relocate Yamba Quarter Horse stud

CRITICAL - last 15 horses need to be moved this week, or be destroyed.
Crisis funding needed to relocate Yamba Quarter Horse stud form drought stricken NSW to the Sunshine Coast in QLD.
The Sunshine Coast horse community has opened their hearts and paddocks to support Stud owner 76 year old Arthur Kirkby to save his world champion bloodline Quarter horses, who, after 3 years of drought and personal family tragedy has been left with no resources to save horses who now have only days of feed and critically, water, currently standing on dirt with only a small amount of baled hay and one drink of water available per day.
25 horses have been relocated already via generous private transport.
We now have to urgently move 15 broodmares, some with foals at foot, and they need to be transported by professional horse transport to ensure their safety. Some have only 3-4months until foaling.
They then require careful management to transition from standing on dirt to the lush green of the Sunshine Coast.
We are seeking:
Urgent funding for professional transport, approx $4000 to move these precious broodmares who are in drought affected condition 700 Klm. These mares need to move within the week- don’t let 62 years of
breeding become another Australian drought statistic .
Artie also brings a life history of phenomenal horse training , and has given his life to helping owners and horse connect . To see him with horses brings a new meaning to the word horse whispering, it is pure privilege to watch and learn from such a humble horseman, which says he himself will never stop learning.
Let’s help him and welcome him to the Sunshine Coast Horse community .
