Please help us create a lasting legacy of Parker Tobin.
On the morning of April 9, 2018, we received the sad news of the passing of Parker Tobin, hockey goalie from the Humboldt Broncos and Alumnus of several other Minor Hockey Associations and Junior Clubs in the Stony Plain and Spruce Grove area. Parker was one of 15 fatalities in the Humboldt Broncos tragic bus accident that happened on the way to a playoff game in Nipawin, Saskatchewan, on Friday, April 6, 2018.
On this day, we lost a tremendous hockey player and an outstanding gentleman. Parker was smart, quick-witted, athletic, and determined to accomplish many great feats in life. His athletic pursuits were many but he was a true goalie, through and through.
As many know, being a goalie brings an extra financial burden to many hockey families. Therefore, in lieu of gifts and flowers, the Tobin family want to commemorate and celebrate Parkers’ life by establishing a scholarship fund dedicated to helping future goalies. The funds raised through this scholarship will go directly towards facilitating goalie skill development, equipment costs, and educational pursuits.
Thank you for helping to honor the memory of Parker Tobin, and for leaving a lasting legacy that will assist future goalies. I am, Barb Potter a family friend of Tobin family, who has the honor of setting up this fund on behalf the family who will then establish a Trust Fund for distribution based on a criteria.
