Chùa Phước Huệ Vandalism

This happened on the Eastside of Tacoma, WA at a peaceful Buddhist temple yesterday: https://www.facebook.com/ThichPhuocToan/videos/475591179545192/

A man, who has been apprehended by police, drove up and apparently tried to ram a temple pillar with his car. He had a rather short chain attached to his vehicle as well -- one can only speculate what he planned to do with that.

Proving unsuccessful at his original apparent attempt, he pulled down this statue before driving away. 

Witness mentions he speaks of passages from the Christian Bible, and in the video he can be heard saying "devil worshipper" before vandalizing the statue.

Funds raised will be donated to the temple for whatever purposes they choose. They can replace the statue, upgrade their security system, whatever they like.

I created this fundraiser very simply to show that #LoveTrumpsHate in my fair city. Let's show our Buddhist friends that we're about loving ALL of our neighbors, regardless of faith, ethnicity, language, or any other false barrier our egos want to set up between us.
