Replace Veterans Grave Markers
Donation protected
The families of veterans and the town of Smyrna, Maine, woke up on October 1st to a theft of 47 bronze grave markers from their town cemetery.
Money raised by this campaign will go directly to the town of Smyrna for the purpose of replacing the stolen grave markers.
We're hoping to raise this money by the end of the year, earlier if possible.
By supporting this campaign, even with a $1 donation, you are contributing to the national memories of our military. Our nation's history is bound up with the lives of our nation's service members and their families, but more and more there is a divide between civilian and military communities.
When we take direct part in commemorating the service and sacrifice of American service members, we move our nation toward greater understanding of what it means to serve.
Whether you are a veteran yourself, or a civilian who wants to help, you have my eternal gratitude for your time and your hand of assistance. Thank you!
