Syed Abdul Ghani treks about kilometer (0.62Miles )
every single day with 100 kilograms which is 220.46 lbs
of flour on his back. He earns only 300 Pakistani rupees which is $3 from selling the flour to a bakery in Peshawar. He's been doing this for the past 25 years in order to feed his family.
When I saw this video, I could help but break down in tears. It reminded of my dad who passed away few months ago. I am thousands of miles away but I can feel his pain. We are living in a society where we complain about everything, our demands are endless we and take life for granted. And this old man has struggling for 25 years just for $3.
Regardless of the distance, I have faith in humanity and the power of social media. We can't just sit here and do nothing. Let's chime in a dollar or 2 and see if we can help this man out.
Full Disclosure: This video does not belong to me. I am rasing the capital and taking full responsibility to transfer the money safely. I will provide photo/video when Ghani receives it. I will also provide full financial disclosure.
Who am I? Where am I from?
I am Raiyan Syed. I live in Queens, New York and I study in Baruch college.
3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for?
I don't know Ghani Baba in person, but the video spoke volumes to me. I couldnt be a bystander. So I took action.
4. How the funds will be spent
The funds are going to be spent in 2 ways:
a. We are planning to open up a small shop for Ghani Baba so he can sustain a living without such stress.
b. We are also planning to help his daughters get educated if not then get married. Because he has 7 daughters and it is one of his main concerns
5. How you intend to get the funds to those in need
I am handing over the money to Khalid Khan and Shahbaz, who are working closely with Ghani Baba and not merging account since it is taking more time than expected.
