Rick "m&m" Johnson In-Home Care Fund
Donation protected
Rick Johnson has been sorely missed at the corner of Franklin and Congress Street in Houston, Texas. He is a well-known friend and a welcome personality at the corner there, near the steps of the Harris County 246th District Court. For 20 years he has been sharing joy and broadening the smiles of all the lives he encounters through something so simple as a pack of M&M’s.
Every day Rick touched the lives of many who have interacted with the justice system, from judges, attorneys and courthouse clerks to citizens, families and visitors—all tending to very serious matters. On the weekend he could be found at St. John’s Church Downtown, continuing to share love with church staff, congregation and guest through his signature M&M’s.
Through his many interactions throughout the community, Rick has made such a difference, just by sharing a simple joy, a taste of sweetness in what could be a bitter moment for some.
Though selling candy has been Rick’s main source of income, he has been known to give packs of M&M’s away freely when a passerby couldn’t afford them. Now battling a tough cancer fight, he is in immediate need of 24-hour in-home care and medical home assistance.
Community friends of Rick are coming together and extending our global hands, asking that you join us in seeing that he gets the care he needs to fight against this disease.
We are friends and community supporters for Rick Johnson. All funds will go to Rick Johnson's in home care and assistance, overseen by The Sparks Lawfirm, PC.
