Rio Americano Robotics

Rio Americano Robotics is a special program at Rio Americano High School. Here, students build a multitude of projects, including an autonomous robot that competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). This competition is an international robotics contest amungst high schools. Participants are given six weeks to design and build a robot to compete in events that test their craftsmanship and creativity.
This is Rio's third year participating in FRC. The process of building an advanced robot, along with other engineering projects, requires a lot of money, and in order to continue, we must raise funds to finance the materials and equipment for the class. The money raised will help to bring our team to the Worlds Championship in Houston, Texas.
