Rippa's Recovery
Donation protected
This is our poor girl Rippa. She bolted from our farm before Christmas during a thunderstorm, and after much heartache for myself, my husband and my 3 year old son she miraculously turned up this morning thanks to Council registration and an up to date microchip!
She has clearly been living with someone over the past 2 months, but it appears she has been shot and has shattered her jaw the poor thing.
She's incredibly shaken up, in shock and will need specialist surgery in Melbourne, which is fine, but we are 5.5 hours from any capital city so travel, along with sky high veterinary surgical bills will be insane.
It's quite emotional. We're thrilled she's home and it looks like she will be fine, but honestly, how can someone do this to such a beautifully natured, gentle dog. She is my son's pride and joy and he's confused as to why he can't play with her just yet, but alas, we have her back, but it is a long road to recovery both physically and after having been through such mistreatment.
Fingers crossed for her.
I hate doing these Gofundme appeals, but the RSPCA Pet Insurance won't cover it and although we work our butts off, who has a lazy few grand lying around just waiting to be spent?
