Santa Stretch needs hearing aids!

Hello everyone, I don't normally like to ask for help, but I really need your help in this.
For those who don't know, I'm an Air Force Veteran and spent the better part of 5 years on a flight line around lots of noisy airplanes. I don't have medical insurance because I get my medical needs taken care of through the VA. They will take care of just about everything, but not hearing unless it can be proven to be directly related to something that happened while I was on active duty. So, event though I spent a lot of time in a very noisy environment, they won't cover my hearing because they say it was "okay" when I got out.
I've recently been having issues hearing and/or understanding people, and it's been driving my wife crazy. She convinced me to schedule a hearing test and it turns out that I have moderate hearing loss in my left ear and severe hearing loss in my right ear, both of which involve nerve damage, so there's no chance of repair. The only solution is hearing aids.
The ones I need are programmable to correct the specific deficiencies in my hearing. At the hearing test the guy gave me a demo and I was truly amazed and how clear everything suddenly became. The only issue is that they are $2400 per ear! With no medical insurance to defray any of that cost, it will cost me $4800 to get both hearing aids. If I don't get them, not only will I continue to struggle to hear, but the loss will continue to get worse at a faster rate that it will without them.
Not only will this make things better at home because I'll be able to hear Mrs. Stretch and my granddaughters better, it will really help me understand kids when I talking to them as Santa or when I'm entertaining and doing balloons, temporary tattoos, or photography. I'm not asking for you to break your bank, I'm just asking those who can to help out in whatever way they feel comfortable doing. I will be extremely grateful for every contribution, no matter how large or small. I will also give anyone who donates at least $25.00 their choice of one of my pdf books for each multiple of $25.00 they give (i.e. $25.00 - $49.00 = 1 pdf book, $50.00 - $74.00 = 2 books, etc). If you do this, please email me your choice of books so I can email them to you right away.
