Animal Angels of Manzanillo MX

Donation protected
This GoFundMe request is being made by Fred and Laurie Taylor on behalf of Animal Angels of Manzanillo Mexico.   Manzanillo has a heartbreaking stray animal problem with estimates of well over 16,000 street animals.  Most people cannot afford to spay or neuter their animals and as a result many animals are dumped on the streets and left to fend for themselves. They are starving, sick, hurt, abused, unloved, and breeding.  Without some intervention their prospects for a normal life is non-existent.

Since moving here four years ago, we have been actively involved with local organizations and individuals to help provide for the rescue, care and sterilization of street animals.

Animal Angels is the street animal outreach program of Friends of Mexican Animal Welfare (fomaw.org) .  The money raised will go directly to  “Animal Angels” to provide sterilization, food and medical care for these dogs and cats.

Will you please help the animals by donating now?  You can provide sterilization and medical treatment for one animal  or a dozen.   Every donation will save a life!

The following photos were all taken in Manzanillo.
Miramar. Transporting dogs to be sterilized.

Miramar. Fred Taylor picking up 2 dogs to take to the Alianza Clinic to be sterilized.

Miramar. Laurie Taylor returning dogs after sterilization.

Miramar. Receiving a chemo treatment for TVT. This sweet girl is now cancer free!

Miramar. "Chata" had TVT and is now pronounced cancer free by Dra. Diana. She is giving a kiss of thanks!

Miramar. Dogs, dogs, dogs, everwhere!

Miramar. "Lucas" with a severe case of mange. He is currently in treatment.

Miramar. "Pitufina's" home.

"Stan" the street dog from Miramar.  He is suffering from TVT cancer, mange and malnutrition.

This is what starvation and disease will do to a dog. "Lucy" was loved, cared for and partially recovered but died a few months later.

Flacca (the skinny girl) was so emaciated and sick when we found her. She underwent veterinarian care for 2 months, was sterilized and look at her today!

Flacca is now happy and well at her forever home.

This is "Xola", a little dog that lived on the beach and was suffering from papilloma virus (warts).

Look at "Xola" now! No more warts and she is a happy, healthy 10 month old pup that has been adopted and is living with a loving family in the U.S.

"Xolo" had lost all of his hair to mange and was starving, living on the streets.

"Xolo" today!  Hard to believe this is the same dog that was so very sick. He is now in a loving, forever home.

Feeding street animals.
