Road to the LPGA

Hi! My name is Emily McLennan and I have just started my rookie season as a golf professional. This coming year, I will have my start on the Symetra tour in the States, with the goal and dream to be playing on the LPGA tour. 

Golf has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. I grew up playing in the QLD state teams, and was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to play for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at the college level in order to get my degree. 

I graduated from college in August 2016, and made the decision to go to LPGA Qualifying School this year. The cost of tour school alone is steep, let alone the cost of individual tournaments.

I have had some success in my very short professional career already, with two top 5 finishes and another top 10. I love this game, and have invested everything I have into it. I know I have the work ethic and abilities to become a successful tour player, and to be a great role model for young girls in sports.
