Robin Hood Radio Transmitter Fund

We are at the finish line! Please help us cross it!!!!!
$3,055.00 is all we need!!!
Robin Hood Radio is the smallest NPR station in the nation, and we need your help NOW! We NEVER interrupt our programming with fund drives..NEVER! Our mission is to provide live, local, news and entertainment to our local broadcast area. We are the last locally owned, and operated radio station in the immediate Tri-State Region. The two other local stations that once served our area have left, one to southern Connecticut, and one to the Hudson Valley.
We air local news and events, remote broadcasts from not-for profit organizations in our area, and a low cost way for business to reach residents in the Tri-State Area. Robin Hood Radio is a non-profit force that promotes and publicizes our people, our businesses, and non-profits while offering a roster that includes over 35 locally produced and hosted shows!
We never seek local grants from area granting groups knowing that there are many charities in this area who need help, so we go it alone by ourselves.
Well, as of two weeks ago, our 31 year old transmitter gasped it's final breath, and is off-air. We have ordered a new one at a cost of $27,000.00! Yes that is correct $27,000.00! There are two different companies we deal with, and the price was the same at both.
Both Jill and I are bearing the cost of this calamity, and we are asking for your help! The money we are putting forward will have to come from somewhere else in our very skinny budget if we don't get help. In addition to the price for the transmitter there will be shipping and engineering installation costs. We are a 501 (c)(3) not for profit corporation, so any money you donate will be tax deductible
A simple tax deductable donation of $20.00 or more
means we can reach our goal quickly. Please donate what you can, to help us continue to grow and serve our area. Your support as always will be greatly appreciated..and it will be 100% tax deductable.
