Trebaju nam uzori poput Rose Parks.

Please help us raise 22,000 BAM (Bosnian Marks) needed to create and install a statue of Rosa Parks in Mostar.
We are a group of concerned citizens of Mostar that wishes to install a statue of Rosa Parks onto one of the existing benches in the city, such as in-front of the Gymnasium high school that is actively participating in student segregation via the “two schools under one roof” project.
Rosa Parks is an embodiment of citizen activism needed to create a democratic and fair society. On December 1st 1955 while returning home after a long work day as a seamstress, Rosa Parks refused the orders of the drivers demanding she vacate her seat as it was intended for the whites. Considering the laws at the time that prescribed segregation even in the public transportation Rosa Parks was arrested and later tried for disobedience. The reaction was a boycott of public transportation by the Afro-American population in Montgomery, AL and one of the movements against racial segregation in history. Later on The United States Congress has declared Rosa Parks "the first lady of civil rights" and "the mother of the freedom movement".
Citizens of Mostar have been living for years in similar conditions Rosa Parks experienced without the basic democratic rights to vote and be voted for, and that different manifestations of fascism, sexism, and segregation exist within the governing system asking for categorical obedience, we believe we need this illustration of non-violent citizen protest and disobedience.
We need to look up to the example Rosa Parks has provided us. History has proven that all forms and manifestations of fascism, sexism, segregation, and discrimination on any basis are inhumane and unsustainable. In this fight for our rights we all need to participate because every voice is equally important, just like one voice of a seamstress from Montgomery was important for the American Human Rights movement.
