I was diagnosed with a rare form of primary peritonel cancer in November 2013. Treatment was 7 cycles of chemo and major surgery. Neither worked. The cancer has now progressed and my only chance of survival is to try a new generation of treatment called Immunotherapy "keytruda (Pembrolizumab)". This drug is not funded for my type of cancer, neither through the PBS or my private health insurance.
The keytruda drug costs $4,678.85 every three weeks. I need a minimum of four cycles of treatment to see if this effective, if successful, it will be ongoing for up to 2 years.
I have already had the first cycle. My next treatment is on 22 March, 12 April and 3 May 2017. We need money to pay for the drug prior to each treatment cycle. Any help you can offer us would literally mean the world to me.
