From Orphanage to the Stage

Hello, my name is Roxy and after a second visit to Roslin Orphanage (Kupang, Indonesia), my love for the children has grown even more! I want to do whatever I can to support these children but I can not do it alone – I need your help!

BACKGROUND:
Roslin Orphanage is home to over 120, with ages ranging from newborns to college students. It is run by a selfless family of five – Budi and Peggy, and their three children Christine, Tassya and Christian, who are now in their twenties.

They cloth, feed and provide education for these children all out of love. Their funds have been coming out of the life savings of Budi (the father) and donations but awareness needs to be raised about this place so more people can reach out to help!

CURRENT SITUATION:
The children at the orphanage have been putting together a play for the past nine months. It will be performed at the Ciputra Theatre in Jakarta, a three-hour flight from their island in Kupang, Indonesia.

The play is a representation of their togetherness and love as a family. It reveals the daily struggles they go through, such as food being stolen from their home. 

It will be an incredible opportunity for the children to share their story, show their worth and impact society up-close and personal.

NEED:
There will be 80 children performing in the play. Unfortunately, they only have funds for 10 plane tickets and each ticket is $280AUD return. They are desperately seeking support for the other 70 tickets by the end of August 2016!
