The RPG Museum and Community Center. The Role Playing Game Museum and Community Center Website 

Thanks to volunteers at the 501(c)3 non-profit RPG Research Website , with your help, we are all working together to create the non-profit Role-playing Game Experiential Historical Museum and Community Center.

This will provide an in-person community center and online experiential historical learning museum on the history of role-playing games including: tabletop, live-action, electronic, and hybrids. RPG Research already provides the world's largest free and open research repository on the effects of all role-playing game formats, now help us expand the reach beyond the current educational and therapeutic researchers and professionals, to the general public, with this museum and community center approach.

We're raising money to benefit the 501(c)3 non-profit RPG Research, to help create an in-person (and online) experiential walk-through fun and educational museum on the history of role-playing games. Your donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much, and helps improve the lives of so many. This fundraiser covers 1 year of rent for facility large enough to contain what we already have, and create a museum and community center for tabletop, live-action, electronic, and hybrid role-playing games. 


We currently have 1,750 square feet packed to the ceiling with RPG materials, plus the wheelchair friendly 22' long RPG Bus and two 25'+ long RPG Trailers. This means we need a minimum of 4,000 square feet to accommodate all that we have and provide space for the hands-on programs, server room, etc.





Rent for a basic 4,000+ square foot warehouse near a bus route (for community access) is a minimum of $2,000 per month. This fundraiser covers one year of rent (at least $24,000 USD), and additional costs for adapting the warehouse for use as a museum and community center (minimum $5,000 USD), plus insurance, setting up utilities, etc. 

To date we have been providing programs at parks (weather permitting), various community centers like Spark Central, school districts, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and other locations and organizations around the country, with the help of our volunteers and the mobile RPG Bus and RPG Trailers.

Now we need somewhere for our vast supplies, museum pieces, and a stable community center to provide daily programs.

We have all the books, equipment, museum materials, tables, chairs, and more. We just need the space.  We can easily, immediately, fill 4,000 square feet. With additional funds, and museum display cases, additional square footage would make for an even more incredible experience for museum visitors and community center participants.





This fundraiser will cover the first year of rent, plus some of the setup and customization costs for turning a generic warehouse into a museum and community center experience. Any additional funds raised will help improve the facilities that much more.

The museum archives will be freely available online to everyone around the world including never-before-seen unpublished books, games, and other materials!  The on-site experiential museum and community center will be located in Spokane Valley, Washington, USA near a bus route, and designed to be as accessible as possible (we are huge accessibility advocates!). 

Thanks to a generous material donation by Paul Cardwell's widow Gladys, we will be starting with a huge body of history spanning decades, starting in 1970 through 2021! Our 100% unpaid volunteers are also helping to make this (within legal limits) available as an online virtual museum, With enough donations, we can get a warehouse to create a multi-function facility that will include a walk through museum of the entire history of Role-playing games!
