Jennifer Waugh Family Memorial

Jennifer Gowen Waugh left this earth to go be with the Lord on April 7, 2015. It was so sudden and unexpected. She passed away from a Heart Attack with no history of heart disease prior to this tragic event. We are all still in shock and will miss her terribly. She leaves behind a son and a husband and 2 brothers and sisters and a mom and dad who are so heartbroken. She was only 45.
Jenny, as she was known to those who loved her, was a truly a ray of sunshine. She was always laughing and she always had a smile for everyone. She lit up a room when she entered. And she was always there for those who needed her. She really knew no stranger. She was fiercely protective of her family and friends. She was one of the most loyal DUKE basketball fans ever. She was watching the winning Duke game the night before she passed away. I know she was smiling over their win that night. She had an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh.
She was an Asheville, N.C. resident and she loved those mountains. She loved to garden and always looked forward to Spring so she could start planting all her beautiful plants. The beach was her happy place and all the family trips we made were always a very special time for her.
She had gone to the doctor within the 2 weeks prior to her death, but was denied a Stress Test by her insurance that would have detected any problems. After her doctor had gone to the insurance company she had finally received the letter stating that they were going to pay for the stress test, too little too late. She had made the appointment for the week that she passed, an appointment she would never make. It truly was a senseless tragedy. It has left her family devastated and with many unanswered questions. We are so thankful that she accepted Christ as her savior the morning that she passed. This has brought some comfort for her family. And we know she is in Heaven now.
Many of you have asked about flowers or what you could do to help, raising funds to help with the mounting medical expenses and the funeral expenses that were so unexpected would help greatly if you're able to contribute. We thank you in advance for any donation you are able to make. Please keep the family in your prayers. Thank you so much!
