Ruff love is a non-profit organization providing Assistance Dogs and/or training and support services for serving and ex-serving defence force members and first responder personnel that have been injured, physically or mentally, during the course of their service/employment. These assistance dogs have brought a brighter future to the veterans helping them through there bad times, anxiety and depression and also helped the fellow suffers to learn the love and support that having a canine companion gives.
We do this by sourcing, when possible and helping to train dogs to meet the needs of each individual.
Currently ruff love has approximately 20 assistance dogs in training all over Australia.
Currently we outsource the certification of our member's dogs but are working towards gaining accreditation that will allow us to certify dogs for our members and minimise the costs associated with the certification process.
As the demand for this service has expanded so does the cost of providing such a service, these cost also include:
Obtaining the canine
De-sexing
Vaccinations
Vet checks
Training
Food
And ongoing support
