My Story

I lost my dad to a life long struggle with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).  As a child I watched him battle through all the daily challenges that DM brings. After he passed in 2011, I felt this overwhelming need to keep his memory alive.

My Dream

As an avid runner and thrill seeker, I wasn't completely surprised when the idea of running 15 Marathons in 2015 arrived.  As I began to wrap my mind around the logistics involved with 15 Marathons I realized my journey felt empty...what was my "Purpose"?

Then it hit me, "What if I made this a fundraiser?"  I could use the money to create a scholarship for a child who faced the very same challenges that he did. Having Diabetes would now mean a child would receive a GIFT!!

Since that time I have continued to literally run around the world, taking on extreme fitness challenges in exchange for donations. Aiding in the fight against T1D, one mile at a time!

My Promise 

My promise is to continue to spread awareness and provide support for those living with Type 1 diabetes. I will donate 1K to a qualifying High School Senior living with Type 1 Diabetes annually. In addition, I will also donate to research to help find a cure.
