Let's beat foot cancer and OEIS!
Donation protected
Stacia Hernandez is one of my Fifth Grade Students at South Clearfield Elementary, and she was recently diagnosed with a synovial foot cancer. Her chance of getting this cancer was one in three million. She has has her second round of chemo tomorrow. If the cancer does not respond to chemo, she will need to have her foot amputated. Stacia was one the fastest runners in her grade, and I know she will be again some day. Her two year-old sister, Jocelyn, was born with OEIS, a condition that affects many body systems. She was born with some of her vital organs on the outside and is unable to walk, her lower organs are not functioning properly. She needs reconstructive surgery as soon as she can to help her live without pain every day. However, her parents need to travel to John Hopkins multiple times so Jocelyn can receive this life-saving surgery while Stacia is going through her chemo.I want to raise this money so that her parents can travel back and forth to John Hopkins, take time off work to be with their two very ill children, and care for their six other children. The family is faced with large insurance deductibles, medications, hospital stays, travel, and all of the other debts that come with medical concerns of this magnitude. Please help their family as if they were family. Our class is inspired by Stacia's strength, and we will stand by her side every step of the way. Stay Strong for Stacia and Jocelyn!
