LN Dallas Hearts Michael Shirley
Donation protected
In the early hours of Saturday September 8th, one of our Live Nation Dallas’ own security team members, Michael Shirley, suddenly lost his mother, Shelly Caram. Shelly's husband Tommy was also seriously injured in the accident that took her life. Shelly leaves behind 3 children: Michael, Dakota and Payton. Shelly was known for being kind, supportive and very giving to others. On that note, the Live Nation Dallas area band members want to support Michael and his family; Live Nation corporate will match our donations up to $5,000.
From Delaney Tenpenny, Employee and Guest Experience Manager at Dos Equis Pavilion: On behalf of all Live Nation band members who know Michael, we send first and foremost our sincere condolences, heartfelt prayers, and wishes for strength, courage and peace to you and your family during this time.
To all Live Nation band members, if you are able, please donate to our campaign as, again, Live Nation corporate will MATCH our donations up to $5,000.
From CEO Michael Rapino regarding Live Nation GoFundMe campaigns:
Apart from the work we do to entertain the world, we also consider our entire employee community family. We’re deeply committed to supporting each other through hard times and when one of our employees or a member of their family is in any kind of crisis and needs financial assistance, we are committed to matching up to $5,000 of funds raised online through GoFundMe. Gifts and funds raised of course go directly to the Live Nation employee that you’re trying to help, so they are much appreciated.
Live Nation sponsored and matched campaigns that appear on this page must conform with these guidelines:
1. Fundraisers will provide funds directly to an individual in need.
2. Live Nation will match the total funds raised online at the 50 day mark to a maximum of $5,000. If you hit $5,000 prior to day 50 or you close your campaign before then, your match will be honored at that time (to the $5,000 limit).
3. Gifts and funds raised here are not considered tax deductible by the IRS, and they go directly to the Live Nation employee that you’re trying to help. Funds matched by Live Nation are considered taxable income. Please see the Tax Help section for further questions and information.
