Wesley Chapel U15 Girls Soccer Team Captures Florida President’s Cup Championship...Seeking to Raise $20,000 to cover expenses for 17 Players and 2 Coaches to Compete for the Regional President's Cup
On the weekend of April 11-12 2015, the U15 Girls White team from the Wesley Chapel Soccer Club participated in the Florida President’s Cup at the Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale. In this event, Regional Cup championship teams competed against each other in a quest for the Florida President’s Cup. Under the leadership of Head Coach Daniel Coimbra and Assistant Coach Jeff Olsen, this Wesley Chapel Flames soccer team has continued to reach new heights and became the first team from their club to capture a state championship.
The U15 Girls White team includes 14 players who began their development with the local Wesley Chapel recreational soccer program. This team will now represent the Wesley Chapel Soccer Club and the state of Florida at the Region III President’s Cup held in Lafayette, LA this June. Teams from 11 different states will compete for the chance to play in the National President’s Cup held in Kansas this July.
Wesley Chapel Soccer Club Director of Coaching Altin Ndrita states, "This is a great win from a group of true Wesley Chapel girls who stood together and fought for one another on every inch of the field, every second of the game, the entire time of this continued journey. In addition, this is also a great win for the GAME from players who don't seek glory and/or material compensation down the road, but first and most importantly love and enjoy playing the GAME. Finally, this is an example for all of us that RESPECT for the game and each other, TRUST in our peers and leadership, and LOYALTY to the club and community are the true pillars which will support our efforts to take WESLEY CHAPEL SOCCER CLUB into new heights."
The Wesley Chapel U15 Girls team is seeking to raise $20,000 from community members and local businesses to offset the travel, lodging, and other costs associated with this opportunity for 17 players and 2 coaches. If you would like more information on how to support the team, please contact team manager Katy Boyd via this website.
