July Experience at Davidson College

I'm currently a high school junior in NYC struggling to pay for an amazing summer program at Davidson College called the July Experience. I live in a single parent household, where my mother goes to school, works, and takes great care of me and my two younger brothers. She's enrolled in college at the moment, but makes less then $30,000 in a year. That's barely enough for the four of us, let alone the expenses of a prestigous summer program in North Caorlina. In total, the three week program costs $3,900. Thankfully, I was alloted the most finaicial aid they give, and that was $1500. However, that still leaves me with a payment of $2400, and my comfirmation payment of $500 is due by April 30. Funding for this incredible oppurtunity was not what I initially had in mind. Unfortunately, I found out last minute I wouldn't be receiving the money I was informed I would recieve . For this reason, I'm in need of the remaining cost of July Experience.
As the first one to go to college in my family, going away to Davidson College would be a chance for me to experience what life would be in only a few short months. I've worked extremely hard thus far as a junior, from tutoring middle school students and participating in community service, to becoming the GSA President and helping out with school events. It would be a dissapointment to not attend this amazing program after getting accepted, so I hope I gain the funds needed to fulfill this dream.
