Winter Hill Brewing Company

Winter Hill Brewing Co. began between two friends, a home-brewing hobby and ideas and ideals far beyond our means. Ten years later, after a decade of commercial and recreational brewing, serving, tasting, and sharing, we are finally on the verge of turning our dreams into a reality.
Having found initial funding for our project from a small group of committed and loyal investors, we signed ourselves a lease on Winter Hill in Somerville, and are the proud occupants of a 2,800 square foot, two-level stand-alone commercial space on Broadway! In the four-plus months since, we’ve received support from the Somerville Planning Board, obtained a building permit, lined up a team of contractors and are finally underway with our build-out. Along the way we’ve been lucky enough to meet the mayor, host a few community gatherings at our location, and interact with countless additional supporters of our concept.
If you’ve gotten this far, you’re probably interested in what exactly we’re going to do with this opportunity. Well, we’re going to start by saving you from another Starbucks: we’ll start every morning serving high-end, ethically sourced coffee and espresso. We’ll have quick grab and go items for our commuter customers, and provide room to spread out and plug in for those with time to kill. Come afternoon, we’ll be ready to share our flagship beers – all brewed onsite and in small batches – with the neighborhood. In our humble home, we’ll offer five year-round and seasonally-rotating beers on tap while serving you a health-conscious and fresh array of sandwiches, wraps, salads, cheese and charcuterie. We’ve got 58 seats inside and another 30 on our patio (as New England weather allows).
We are incredibly close to pulling off what we think will be a huge hit – our equipment is en-route and the build-out is under way. We’ve racked our brains and tried to come up with rewards to entice our neighbors, friends, family and future customers to help us get over the final fund raising hump (if sympathy or pittance had not overcome you in the previous paragraphs). We are thrilled to one day soon see you all walk through our doors, and we know that our dreams would not be possible without you.
We’ll see you on the other side.
