An immunodeficiency disorder makes katalina considerably more susceptible to catching viruses and bacterial infections. Katalinas immune system is not working properly , it's important for her to stay away from people and family who are sick. Katalina has had one infection after another including respiratory infections, pneumonia , bacterial infections, ear infections, strep throat , eye infections, thrush , skin rashes , joint pain and fevers constantly. The fevers can reach over 104.0 and sometimes 105. Katalina's knees, ankles, and elbows have been swollen and causing her severe pain. . It breaks my heart that I can't take her pain away.
