A Wheelchair Trailer for Sadie Mae

Donation protected
The only thing better than the joy of Cycling is sharing that joy with the people you love. This campaign will help our friend Sadie Mae ride bikes with her Mother and Brother and feel the freedom of the road and the wind in her hair.

Sadie Mae is 9 years old and from the Charlotte, NC area. She was born with a rare genetic disorder called Aicardi Goutieres Syndrome. She has virtually no motor skills and is confined to a wheelchair, but is very happy all the time. Both her Mother and Brother are  avid cyclists but have never been able to take her along for the ride. She loves therapeutic horse back riding with a special saddle so we know she is going to LOVE this.

This money will be used to buy a wheelchair trailer for Sadie. A wheelchair trailer is a wheeled platform that attaches to the back of a bicycle and can carry both a wheelchair and it's occupant simultaneously. Similar Wheelchair trailer pictured:

This campaign started on the Facebook page "Look At My Bike Leaning Against Stuff" but it doesn't need to stay there. This is a call to all "leaners", all cyclists, and all caring individuals. Together, we can help Sadie ride with her family.
