rebuilding my life

In 2001 I was attacked and hospitalized. I had a concussion, needed 23 stitches, 28 staples and and jaw reconstruction surgery to have my head put back together. I have no idea who did it or why; they were never caught. The most likely scenario is that I was "gay-bashed," as I had just left a bar where I was drinking with a friend who is gay.
A year and a half ago, I began experiencing severe headaches, accompanied by vertigo and tinnitus. I've been out of work and on disability since then because of this. Just keeping up with day to day chores and housework is challenging on good days. On bad days, I'm able only able to do the bare minimum to take care of myself, and my cats. I also do rescue and fostering cats for the local shelter.
At this time, there is no possibilty of return to work in the foreseeable future, until doctors are able to define and treat the cause. So far, there's been nothing but frustration from seemingly endless road trips for appointments with specialists and more prescriptions that do nothing but further strain my finances. The only thing that all my doctors seem to agree on is that the root cause is the damage done when I was attacked way back then.
I had to declare bankruptcy and cash out my 401k, and still wasn't able to meet medical and living expenses to get me through last winter without going into debt. I expected I would get back at least part of what was withheld by the IRS from the 401k, but they kept everything and I owe an additional $1,348.14. Now I'm in a position where if I don't get help very soon, I am very likely to lose nearly everything.
The goal amount I've set of $3,500 is enough to pay the IRS, bank overdrafts, this past winter's remaining heating bill, and the balance due on appliances that I've had to replace in the last year. It's only a start, but should be enough to put me in a position where I can at least begin to get in a position where I'm not continuing to get further behind.
If by chance this is shared widely and successfully enough, I also need home repairs, owe approximately $65K on my home, and have a minor amount of credit card debt. On top of it all, being able to keep my home will allow me to continue rescue and fostering cats. Anything helps, even the price of a cup of coffee! If you aren’t able to do that, please share for exposure. It all helps and is appreciated.
