Sammie's Lemonade for Veterans

Hi my name is Sammie, this year I will be having my fourth annual lemonade stand for the veterans. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Saginaw VA Hospital. The money that I raise will help the hospital get the supplies they need for their patients. Many veterans need help and that's why I decided to have this lemonade stand four years ago when I was nine. At first I was going to keep the money for myself but then I thought about all the people who have so much less than me. So I decided to take action and make a difference. My mom found a story on Facebook about a local soldier who was hurt and had not yet received all of his benefits. The first year I raised around $150. The year after that I decided to give all the money I raised to the Saginaw VA Hospital. That year I raised around $490.  I had my stand again the next year and  raised money again for the VA Hospital. I raised just a little under $1500. This GoFundMe campaign is being managed by my father, Robert Stricker.  The funds will be deposited into his account and then withdrawn to combine with the donations received at the event to present to the Saginaw VA Hospital.  My mother, Kelli Stricker, and I plan to announce the total raised and present the cash donation in person at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center during the week of July  23, 2018. The exact date and time are to be determined based on the hospital's availability. 

Update: The amount collected and presented in 2018 was $2,111.53. Thank you to all that supported the campaign. The campaign will remain open and donations received after July 25th, 2018 will be applied to the 2019 collection which will be a 5-day event for the 5th year of the stand.
