Samson the Wonder Pup

Samson is a 12 week old Boxer with a cleft palate. The opening runs the entire palate and needs to be surgically repaired. Without surgical intervention Sampson risks contracting an infection or Aspiration Pneumonia which could lead to death. It's difficult for him to eat and drink like a normal dog because food often gets stuck in his sinus cavity and comes out of his nose. Same with water. The breeder was unaware of the severity of the cleft and sold Samson to a family who fell in love with him immediately. Now they are faced with medical bills ($2000 - $4000) that they just can't afford. The only other option they have is to trade Samson in for a healthy puppy. But then what happens to Sampson? Really the only option IS surgery. They aren't giving up on Samson. If Samson can get the surgery he needs he will live a normal healthy long life. Without it, he will not.
