Sara Lee's vet bills

Donation protected

On the evening of Tuesday September 26th my beloved dog Sara Lee was viciously attacked buy a large breed dog we believe it was either a boxer mix or pitbull mix. There was no warning that this would happen, the other dog did not bark or growl. In a blink of an eye Sara's neck was in the other dog's mouth. I held on to her trying to get her free as the owner of the other dog was trying to get him to release her. After what seemed like five minutes the attack was over leaving her neck ripped open in two spots.

I rushed her to the nearest vet and unfortunately they were closing and unable to take care of her but directed me to VCA Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle located in Lynnwood Washington. On arrival to VCA they took her to the exam room medicated her, cleaned and stapled her wounds. I was informed that there was a chance the skin would die between the two bite marks and have to be removed surgically but they were hoping that wouldn't happen.

Today Friday September 29th I took Sara to her normal veterinarian office Family Pet medical surgery located in Arlington Washington. Upon examination of her wounds they informed me she needed to have surgery because the skin was dying. After surgery was over the veterinarian told me she was surprised Sarah survived the attack. They had to remove the skin in between the two tear marks that were left by the other dog.

The Vet let me know that a second surgery will more than likely be required within a few weeks. As well as laser treatment on her wounds.
On top of the mounting Veterinary bills I have had to take time off of work to care for Sara and to allow my own bite wound to heal on my hand.

Sara is not just a loving family member but she is also a service dog. she is able to detect when I'm going to have a seizure and helps to calm me down or get me to a safe place. Any help that you are able to offer will go directly to veterinarian bills. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping a fur baby and her mom.
