Hi, I am Sarah. My family and I are fulltime missionaries in Haiti. I have 7 siblings, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. I grew up in Washington State and moved to Haiti with my family in 2013. I serve with Mission of Grace in Carries, Haiti. God has put on my heart a love for the people and a longing to help them.
I have been in Townsville, Australia for the past 6 weeks. I am currently attending the January quarter Discipleship Training School (DTS). I chose the medical elective because I have a strong desire to go into the medical field. My wonderful parents help oversee a medical clinic. Through this experience I have been given the opportunity to help with dental clinics, health care clinics and pharmacy. I would like to figure out what my passion is in this area.
Townsville campus offers a school in the Introduction to Primary Health Care (IPHC). The IPHC calls those whose hearts beat to see justice prevail, the poor and needy fed, diseases eradicated, and communities transformed. It offers training and equipping as a health care worker for developing nation communities. Students work hand in hand with YWAM’s Medical Ship, meeting needs and building capacity in the nation of Papua New Guinea.
I have been praying for direction and believe this is where God is leading me. I have made the decision to learn more about general health care and to do the IPHC school. It starts in July 16th, 2017 right after my DTS. I am so excited to see what God contiunes to do in my life.
I need to raise $6,000 within the next three months.
I know this is a lot, but God keeps confirming this decision. I am stepping out in faith to see it through. If you feel lead to give, I would truly appreciate it and please share this with anyone who might be interested. I will be on outreach in Papua New Guinea from 31st March - 16th June.
