Save 804 Legal Defense Fund

Local 804 members are under attack everyday by UPS. Now, we’re under attack by our own International Union.
Hoffa and Local 804 President Eddie Villalta are punishing their political opponents and suspending them from Teamster membership.
The Save 804 Legal Defense Fund is supporting legal action to overturn the trumped up charges and defend democracy in Local 804.
The Save 804 Legal Defense Fund is independent and nonpartisan. This effort is not organized by any slate for local union office.
We are fighting to save our local from a takeover by Hoffa and UPS.
The Fund is administered by Local 804 members Tony Rosciglione and Ken Reiman.
Illegal Retaliation
Under federal law, every Teamster who faces internal union charges is entitled to a fair hearing by an impartial hearing panel.
Hoffa’s own ruling admits that Eddie Villalta and the other members of the Hearing Panel had predetermined the guilt of all the charged members before any hearing was held.
That is the definition of a Kangaroo Court—and it clearly violates federal law.
The Truth Behind the Phony Charges
Hoffa-puppets have falsely charged our former Executive Board and Business Agents for taking their unpaid accrued vacation at the end of their term in local union office.
This is standard procedure in Teamster locals—or at any job for that matter. No one disputes that the charged members were entitled to their vacation pay.
These charges are about dirty politics—and nothing else.
Hoffa and Eddie Villalta are desperately trying to hold on to power in Local 804. They are retaliating against members who oppose them and they are willing to violate the law to do it.
Teamsters who are suspended from membership cannot run for local union office.
Every Local 804 member has the right to stand up to UPS, Hoffa and his puppets in our local without being retaliated against.
All contributions will be used to support legal action to overturn the trumped-up charges against our Teamster brothers and defend democracy in Local 804. Contributions are not tax deductible.
