Save Food Access in South Stockton!
Tax deductible
The Boggs Tract Community Farm in South Stockton needs your help to keep its doors open!
The farm provides access to fresh food in an urban food desert, childhood education programs to connect kids with where their food comes from, and a safe environment for an at-risk community to come together and learn, connect, and grow. These programs help our kids stay in school, away from harmful influences, and ignite their desire to learn about the natural world around them.
The work of running these programs is done out of a passion to support the local community! Despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the farm is currently in a deficit and at risk of shutting down. We are looking to raise $25,000 to continue serving the South Stockton community.
The City of Stockton declared bankruptcy in 2015, meaning local funds to support these projects are limited. Despite all the great progress made building up this community over the past 7 years, we are at risk of losing everything. Anything and everything helps, whether it is a $5 or $500 contribution, we cannot continue to succeed without your support.
If you or anyone you know can help keep our doors open, please donate or pass this fundraiser along to your friends and family. We want to continue to be there now and in the foreseeable future to empower and educate the children and families of South Stockton on how to grow and consume healthy food.
