There's no funny way to say this: Ookla was in St. Louis last weekend as the Filk Guests of Honor at Archon, and on Sunday night someone broke into our trailer and stole all of our instruments, microphones, effects, gear, and merchandise. (The police indicated that a group in the St. Louis area has been targeting musicians quite a bit of late.)
And no instruments means no live Ookla!
Twenty-five years ago, just as we were ready to throw in the towel, we discovered that we had an audience through filk, science fiction, and comic book fandom -- and we're not about to stop now! You have been so good to us for so long, and with your help I'm sure we can be back on a stage near you very soon.
Below you will find a list of what we lost, followed by some photos which feature us performing with the lost instruments and microphones.
Thank you all so much for your continued support.
Your pals,
Rand and Adam
