PROJECT SAVE BOGALUSA
Project Save Bogalusa is a community revitalization project that was founded in 2007. The organization supports efforts in the areas of community development, restoration of neighborhoods, volunteerism, and quality of life improvement.
On the morning of March 11, 2016, heavy rain and flood waters ravaged homes and businesses throughout the City of Bogalusa and surrounding areas. The devastation to this close knit community has been catastrophic.
In August 2016, another devasting flood hit the southwestern areas of Louisiana. Save Bogalusa hit the ground running and was able assist those in the flood ravaged areas. Save Bogalusa volunteers conducted a very successful flood disaster supply drive and donated the items collected to surrounding areas to include Amite, Hammond, Denham Springs and Baton Rouge.
In 2017, our efforts shifted back to neighborhood restoration and providing decent affordable housing to low-income families in Washington Parish.
