SAVE NSFW
OUR FUNDRAISER IS NOW CLOSED.
MANY THANKS TO THOSE WHO SUPPORTED.
This year has been met with many challenges. Like many other small businesses, the New Society for Wellness aka NSFW is fighting to make it through the pandemic.
Our club for the adventurous shut its doors in March due to Covid-19 lockdowns. The recent surge in NYC has lead to a second lockdown.
We've had ZERO government support or relief to help cover our monthly rent or the loans we've taken out to keep our community alive through Covid. Unlike other small businesses, we've been denied gov loans and relief due to our industry.
We're asking today for the support of those who've experienced NSFW and from those who believe that more people should have access to safe, judgement-free spaces for exploration.
If we're unable to raise this money, we will have to permanently close the NSFW Clubhouse and will not be able to return once the pandemic is over.
Over the past five years, we've built a community dedicated to supporting ideals of open love and personal acceptance. We've shared memorable evenings, friendships, connections, and experiences which have helped thousands discover themselves and prioritize their pleasure.
For so many, the New Society is where they've found relationships they treasure and memories they never want to forget.
The money raised will help us pay $100k in business loans we've taken to keep ourselves going. It will also help us cover our past due commitment in rent so that we don't lose our home.
We'll be allocating 20% of what we raise to the hiring back of the performers and educators we've worked with over the years, helping provide much needed assistance to those who make our community great.
It will give us enough to keep us going and get us through the pandemic, allowing us to be here for our community once enough vaccines are distributed and the city approves reopening.
LGBTQI+ businesses in NYC and across the USA have been shut down and most will not survive Winter. Spaces designed for exploration have been decimated through this pandemic, with many never planning to open their doors again.
NSFW is one of the only safe spaces for the bisexual, fluid, and curious amongst us, offering a consent focused community where all gender identifying people can explore without judgement.
We will not survive without this support.
After 9 months of trying to make it through we're truly out of options.
If you can help by giving, please do.
If you can help by sharing this, please do.
We truly miss all our members and the family that helped make NSFW possible.
We hope we'll celebrate at the Clubhouse together soon.
We can't wait to party with you again.
Thank you ahead of time for your support from Daniel Saynt and the NSFW fam.
OUR STORY
Conspired by Daniel Saynt, the New Society for Wellness (NSFW) opened its first Clubhouse in 2017 with the purpose of providing a safe, judgement-free space for exploration. With a focus on cultivating consent culture our community quickly grew to over 5,000 members who connected at parties, dinners and workshops hosted at the NSFW Clubhouse.
Since then, NSFW has been featured in dozens of publications helping spread our open love mission. As our community has grown, so have our events and our commitment to spreading positive messages about intimacy, poly relationships and prioritizing sexual wellness.
OUR WORK
Outside of the adventures we host for our members, we've been at the forefront of promoting consent culture and harm reduction. Read up on ways we've helped spread positive messages about open love, intimacy and prioritizing sexual health.
Consent Con - Hosted the first convention dedicated to consent culture. Brought in speakers to discuss the importance of consent messaging and education in nightclubs and sex positive spaces. (NowThis , Bustle )
I'm ProSex Rally - Focused on raising awareness about anti-poly, anti-kink and sex negative laws. Discussions on the censorship of educators and marginalized bodies on social media. Live streamed to 10k and helped raise awareness for the unique hurdles placed on our industry. (ProSex, Guys We Fd ) The Instagram Protest (The Guardian )
NSFW x CAM4 Relief - Hosted a two-day festival to highlight the pressures on our industry during the pandemic. Helped raise over $10k for performers and educators who worked with NSFW.
SHAME LESS
NSFW is more than a club.
It's a community where stigmas are erased and the damage caused by religious and culture shame can be healed.
Here are some ways we've positively impacted those who've discovered NSFW.
How NSFW helped one journalist tackle her internalized shame. (Hello Giggles ) Coming to terms with childhood trauma after visiting NSFW (HuffPo ) Changing views on sexual assault and healing in a community dedicated to consent (Bustle)
How NSFW became a place recognized for inclusion of often ignored LGBT identities (Slate) Providing a space for marginalized love (New York Times) Destigmatizing conversations about kink and fetishes (Glamour, 2 ) Providing a voice for bisexual males and poly relationships (Pride , Bustle, Mens Health, Vice, Rolling Stone)
In addition to this, we've received countless thank you's and letters of appreciation from our community. For many who've joined, the Clubhouse is a home and the members of NSFW are family.
Please help us continue our work.
The New Society for Wellness has been a safe, judgement-free space for so many people and in a short period of time has changed how millions view less vanilla lifestyles.
If we're able to get through this period we promise to bring NSFW to more cities, helping more people explore.
Please give generously and share this page with friends.
Thank you.
