Saving Tierheim - Wildlife Habitat

Donation protected

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to look and read this. This is both a personal (family home) and community (wildlife habitat) issue, where I need to raise money to keep it going. So, thank you and bless you for caring.

For most of my life, my family has maintained a Wildlife Habitat on our property. We are part of an Old Growth forest with Tulip poplar, Cedar, and Oak trees. And we are one of the few areas with wild passion fruits.

We have built shelter for songbirds, turtles, and other wildlife including: foxes, racoons, chipmonks, owls, bats, snakes, frogs, salamanders, skinks, squirrels, etc.

We have cared for horses and given aid to birds who survived being hit by cars. This place has been a home to many dogs.

My father owned a business, and to cover excessive costs of business, he took out loans to keep things going at work.

With the company closing, the loans on the house risk forclosure, which would likely mean someone replacing the habitat with urban development. This would be terrible to the population of animals we worked to maintain, and to try to prevent it, I have made a deal: for $200,000 + tax, the debt on the property will be paid and I will own the property to keep it as a wildlife habitat. Each $10,000 is a major step towards this goal and at minimum will keeep this going for another month.

If we can make it through this, in the future I can move towards setting Tierheim as a place to teach people about wildlife and caring about the environment.

Again, thank you for your time.
