Most know him as Scott, we just call him Papa. Others know him as a husband, a devoted friend, and a God fearing man. From building homes all over New Hampshire to raising his five children, two of which still live at home, he has always been there for anyone who needed him. Now he needs us.
At around 9pm on Friday July 24, 2015 Scott Infinger was driving home from work when he was in a serious accident. The driver of a minivan crossed into his lane and hit him head on. While the other driver sustained minor injuries, Papa suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New Hampshire.
At around 12am on Saturday morning a NH State Trooper knocked on the door of our mother, Kristin, to deliver the news that her husband of 26 years was in critical condition. She drove to the hospital with Emily and Scotty Jr., only to see him bloodied, bruised, and broken. They were not able to stay long as Papa had to be rushed to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine to undergo immediate surgery.
After the surgery, it was clear that it would be a long road to recovery. Papa suffered from a fractured skull, broken femur, torn diaphram, three broken ribs, ruptured spleen, collapsed lung, and a displaced stomach. While the doctors say he will make a full recovery just looking at him in this state makes it hard to believe.
We are asking for any amount of money to help pay for gas for the trips back and forth from Rochester to Portland, groceries for the kids, and for day-to-day expenses. Since Papa was the sole provider for the family the next few months will be a financial nightmare for everyone. We are trying to relieve some of the stress by helping with donations. Even if you cannot donate please share this page.
Thank you,
The Infinger Family

**UPDATE 7-29-15 10am: The doctors took him off some of the sedation to see how his lungs were doing and Papa sat up, opened his eyes, and tried to pick up his arms. The doctors said he was very angry. Anyone who knows him knows that he will fight as hard as he can until he is better so being angry is a good thing.**
