The Sluggers are Seattle's very own professional chess team competing in the inaugural season of the PRO Chess League, formerly known as the US Chess League. The 10-week season runs from January-March and all games are played online via chess.com. In 2012, the Sluggers won the US Chess League Championship and dedicated the victory to the late Elena Donaldson. In an effort to make a run at another championship, we have recruited several Grandmasters from Armenia and Israel to add some knockout power to the top of our lineup. Rounding out our roster is a slew of local young talent including FMs Roland Feng and Bryce Tiglon, as well as Anthony He, Washington's youngest ever master!
