Tristan McDannel desperately needs our help. He is an 18 year old high school senior that attends Desert Ridge High school in Mesa, AZ, who also works fulltime 8-10 hours per day to pay the household bills all by himself.

Tristan has been given a fate that many of us couldn’t even wrap our minds around.

In February 2013 Tristan’s mother passed away. Tristan was a mere 14 years old and Tristan’s life was torn upside down.

His father Brad devoted all his love and attention to his only child Tristan. Their father and son bond is indescribable. They have suffered a great loss together.

Then in August 2015 tragedy struck this family yet again. Brad suffered a heart attack, and a pacemaker was put in to extend his life.

Since August of 2015, Brads health has been rapidly declining, and he has been hiding his condition from his friends and family, to protect Tristan. He could not bring himself to tell his son that his health was failing.

Brad had no insurance and had been in and out of the emergency room many times over the last several months without telling anyone, for the fear of Tristan finding out.

On January 8th Brad’s health was declining fast, he had no choice but to tell his family, and then tell his son that he was not sure how long he had left to live.

Now Brad is fighting for his life at this time. His heart is not working properly. He can no longer walk more than 5 feet without losing his breath, he is always lightheaded when standing, shaky, and in constant pain. Brad has lost over 50 lbs in 2 months, and gets easily confused and forgetful at times.

After another trip to the ER on January 16th test results showed Brad’s WBC count is critically low. He is waiting to see an oncologist while getting all the tests he needs done for his heart.

We do not know if they will be able to extend or even save Brad’s life at this time.

Brad has applied for Social Security, and is waiting for test results, in order to get a letter from his doctor, before Brad can be approved, leaving Tristan as the only person bringing income in the home.

We are hoping once his social security is approved Brad will qualify for hospice care and lessen the many burdens already placed on Tristian.

Tristan’s world has been turned upside down the last two weeks for the third time in 3 1/2 years.

First his mothers passing in 2013, then his fathers heart attack in 2105, and now
fearful of the amount of time he has left to make memories with the only parent he has left.

Instead of making memories with his father, he is working full time and going to school to pay the household bills. All with smile on his face. He's an AMAZING kid.

We are all scared and concerned for Tristan and his future which is why this campaign was started. We need to secure his current situation by keeping them in their home together as long as possible, and then secure Tristan's future.

The funds raised are going to medical and household expenses at this time.

If by the grace of God Brad does not make it, the funds will be used for his funeral and the rest to securing Tristan’s future.

Please donate and share this campaign on all your social media accounts, and groups. We need everyone to be Tristan's village. Wrap your arms around him and open your hearts.

A meal train has been established to help provide Brad and Tristian with a nightly meal together. This is the only time during the day the two get to spend time together. This is such a huge blessing for them both.
