Help join our family in the purchase of a historical property to relocate and expand our urban farmstead. Our vision is to create an accessible, sustainable, heritage farm and education center on .85 acres of property in the heart of Unadilla, NY along the Susquehanna River.
The beautiful house, built in 1895, is currently in the last phase of bank owned foreclosure and requires an all cash payment which is why we are asking for your help. Due to the status of the property we are attempting to raise the needed funds within 45 days. We would love to save this house and property from a sad fate as so many large Victorians in the North East have seen.
Our goal is to transform this amazing property into a community education center and heritage farmstead. Holding information sessions on heritage livestock, heirloom crops, small-space sustainable farming practices, and food preservation . As parents of four young children we have seen all of the benefits this lifestyle has provided. Healthy food, natural discovery and responsible stewardship have become the cornerstone of their home education. We would like to offer children and families of the surrounding communities the same opportunity. Food creates a bridge among every demographic.
After 10 very succesful years of urban farming on 1/16th of an acre in the village of Sidney our growing young family has exceeded our current space and feel we have so much more to offer our community. This increased acerage and the property's location would provide us with an unparalleled opportunity. Please join us on our journey, we along with generations to come thank you.
