Selena's Healing

Three year old Selena is fighting the battle of her life. Literally. Selena, my best friend's niece, was diagnosed less than a month ago with stage 4 neuroblastoma. She lives in Monte Negro where the top doctors pretty much told her parents to start saying goodbye and arrange for a funeral. My friend Bisera, Selena's good-hearted and loving aunt, did the impossible and brought Selena to the US where the doctors in one of the best children's cancer hospitals, are willing to take on the challenge and try to save her life.
Bisera was here for me when I was fighting for my life. She cooked for me trying to satisfy my weird cravings after each chemo. She shopped for me when I couldn't. Her husband bought and delivered a massage chair for my achy body. They both kept me company and were  here for me when I most needed it. 
It's my turn to be there for Bisera and her family. Selena's treatment is planned to be 16 months long. They certainly have the love and determination but they will also need all the resources they can get to get through these tough times.
