Send UC Davis Table Tennis To Nationals!

UCDTTC Co-Ed Team and Fans at 2019 West Regionals! 

UC Davis Table Club was founded in the mid 1980's  and since then has grown to become a club with 35-40 passionate members including students, staff, and members of our community. Within our club we also have a competitive team that participates in the National Collegiate Table Tennis (NCTTA) league.



In the last 5 years we have had several singles players invited to play at NCTTA Nationals and just last year for the first time, our Co-Ed team had the chance to compete at the 2018 Collegiate Nationals in Round Rock, Texas, placing 7th in the country! This year, our UC Davis Table Tennis Co-Ed competed at the Northern California Divisionals, placing 2nd at both the Fall and Spring tournaments. We were then invited to Western Regionals at OCTTA, where our Co-Ed team placed 3rd, directly qualifying us to compete at Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina from April 12-14th. In addition, we have 3 players who also qualified to play singles at Nationals, including Kunal Chodri, Bryant Lin, and Weida Guan. Last year, Kunal Chodri made it to the semifinals of the NCTTA Singles Championship and Bryant Lin won the West Regionals in 2018, claiming the title of “Best In The West!”. Weida Guan has also joined our team this year, previously competing for Ohlone, another top ranked Collegiate team. This is our strongest team yet with our top players being some of the top ranked collegiate players in the U.S.!


Our team includes a diverse group of players who have played table tennis in many different backgrounds and settings, but who all share a similar passion and love for the sport. We are truly excited and honored to have this opportunity to participate and compete at the 2019 Collegiate Nationals with the best schools in the country! We hope to show the Collegiate Table Tennis Community our school spirit, love for the sport, and mad table tennis skills as we fight to make it to the top!


Though our club has developed significantly in past years, we still only obtain very minimal funding from the university. In order to further sustain our club we raise money by hosting at least 2 fundraisers every quarter at local restaurants and boba shops, doing set up/take down for university events, and also through running Round Robins every other week.  


In order to support our team of 5 players and 2 coaches at Nationals, it takes a lot more financially.


Costs for Nationals include:


Registration ($375/team, $75/singles, $60/doubles) - covered by club


Flights (~$400/person)


Hotel expenses (~$700)


Meals ($30/day for 7 people for 4 days)


Total: ~$4500
