"Serra Cross Park needs your help!"
Along with the devastation to family homes in the Thomas Fire came the damage to one of Ventura's most-visited and scenic spots, Serra Cross Park. While the Cross still stands, it is charred and its structural integrity is in question. What has been completely destroyed is the lovely landscaping at the site, home to countless weddings and community events. The site has been managed by a small non-profit, the Serra Cross Conservancy, since 2003. This group of volunteers relies on private donations and event income to maintain this public park. It is separately maintained from the neighboring Ventura Botanical Gardens, which also suffered heavy damage.
Please consider a donation to help us get back on our feet and restore the beauty of the spot the community has loved for decades. All donations will go directly to fixing the property.
Thank you for your generosity. The strength of the community has been a blessing in this terrible time.
