Help a Buddy out!
Fifteen year old Buddy needs surgery to remove the tumor above his right eye (pictured).
Whose Buddy?
Buddy was a feral cat that my brother adopted over a decade ago. When he was found, one of his paws was so injured it had to be amputated. Buddy is a survivor! Inspite of his three-legged stance and "silent" meow (characteristic of feral cats), Buddy remains healthy.
Last year I started to care for Buddy. I'm a social worker and therapeutic foster parent, who also volunteers for dog rescue groups - transporting and fostering rescued dogs in my "spare" time. I offered Buddy a home. He is now a very welcome member of the family.
Why does he need surgery?
Though most likely benign, the tumor has grown rapidly and is beginning to encroach on Buddy's right eye which would impact his vision. - He also bumps it on things which cause it to bleed and scab up.
It's gotta go!
My goal here is to raise $525.00 - enough money for the surgery, the vet appointment, any necessary meds, and to get little Buddy up-to-date on his shots. Any funds left over will be applied to his food and litter.
According to the vet, the surgery is pretty straight forward, and Buddy is a very healthy cat who should enjoy many more years of life.
It's challenging enough to hop around on three legs, lets get that tumor removed, so he can see clearly out of both eyes.
Please consider donating to help this tough guy who would melt your heart.
Any amount will help Buddy out!
Thank you!!
