Shaina's Spring Break Trip/London
The beautiful girl in the photo is my youngest (of three) daughters, Shaina. She is a sophomore at Bishop Dunne Catholic School in Dallas, where she is a cheerleader, an athletic trainer, a yearbook photographer, a member of the TAPPS Competition Team for Literary Criticism, and a member of the Bishop's Honor Roll.
Along with a number of her classmates, Shaina is travelling to London England over spring break.
Shaina is holding her freshly-minted US Passport (Mocha the Cat does not have a passport and can't go].
The one-week tour will include visits to Oxford, Windsor Castle, the National Museum and Stratford-On-Avon, along with too many other places to list.
We have already paid off most of the important trip expenses - airfare, passport, ground transportation fees, etc. Now it's on to money for meals, souvenirs and some waterproof clothing for the fickle London weather.
By no means will Shaina head out empty-handed; we want her to have a great trip and to enjoy all the sites without having to count every pence at lunch time, and we are squeezing our budget tightly (thankfully, Avi starts a new job this week).
We are NOT asking anyone to subsidize the trip. If everyone on the email list (and yes, I have a large email list of friends and clients) were to chip in just $10 each, our goal would be reached.
We want this to be the first of many trips of a lifetime for Shaina. We hope you will consider putting a few dollars into the fund. We are thankful for our friends and clients, and we appreciate their support.
