Please help us to continue making Angel Gowns for babies born too soon.

We are a group of volunteers based in Shannon,  
Co. Clare who transform donated wedding dresses into beautiful Angel Gowns for babies who have been born too soon.

Some tiny babies will have to spend time in neo natal intensive care units across Ireland before they can come home.
During this difficult time their families may decide to have a christening or naming ceremony for their precious child. Finding an appropriate gown for the tiniest little ones can prove extremely challenging and we have heard stories from families who have had to resort to buying baby dolls clothing to fit.

Sadly some babies never even make it to a special care unit and may be born sleeping or gain their angel wings shortly after birth.
We aim to provide each and every one of these precious angels with a unique gown which has been handcrafted with love.
We never want another family to face the devastating task of trying to find an appropriate burial gown for their precious baby in their time of grief.
We promise to try our absolute best to ensure that every beautiful baby should have a stunning gown to make their mummy proud.
Our organisation relies completely on the generosity of caring people. We receive stunning wedding dresses, evening gowns and bridesmaids dresses from amazing donors all across Ireland. Our team of dressmakers then set to work, lovingly transforming them into beautiful Angel Gowns to be passed on to any family who find themselves in need of what very well might be the one and only outfit that their precious baby will wear.

When we create a gown we make two identical keepsake hearts using the same material and trimming that their baby will wear. One of these hearts is placed alongside the baby's heart and one beside the mums heart. These tiny hearts become treasured keepsakes for parents as they can always hold the same piece of fabric that will forever swaddle their cherished child.

All of our seamstress give their time and skills voluntarily but unfortunately we do have some costs involved in providing this service.
We need to buy items such as lining fabric, ribbon, thread, buttons, trimmings, perspex patterns, embellishments etc .
Packing and delivery costs are among our biggest expenses to date and we would love to receive any help with our associated costs.
By contributing to this cause you would be helping us to give the gift of a gown to families across Ireland in their darkest hours.
